It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the record chasers, are the only things left for a team that has won it all.

That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to hold a record if not provided the chance.

In the end, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy getting a platform to deliver her newest gem.

Originally famous as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has witnessed all through 15 championship-filled years since.

A T20 World Cup win arrived three months after her first appearance and seven world titles have followed from 10 attempts across formats.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was out her side required another 66 at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the belief to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we know we can achieve it."

That comment will be the final thing rival teams at this World Cup want to hear.

In recent days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this success succeeding win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.
