In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret group.

The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Features

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also brings the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma."
